Oral Hygiene

More adults lose teeth due to gum disease than to cavities. 75%- 80% of the adult population has some form of gum disease that's why routine dental care is so important. The best way we can prevent cavities and gum disease is by good diet and oral hygiene. We find most mouths are actually healthier when a ultrasonic toothbrush is used... but choosing one that's right for you is important and should not be made based on price alone.

Flossing, or cleaning the areas between the teeth are equally important as this is where the toothbrush cannot reach and often holds the bacteria, and leftover food particles that can help inflame the gums and rot the teeth. At each of your re-care appointments we will evaluate your homecare and give you pointers as to how you can improve to reduce your risk of future problems.
